Animaniacs: New Antics

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 13, 2008, 12:02 PM
So I've launched a new fan comic (So to speak) and it's going to be in episodes. You know how you see the writers and artists at the beginning of each episode, I'm hoping to have at least 2 to 3 writers. My sister for inking and me for the art and coloring. The reason for the writers, though I can be a funny person, brilliant comedy like Animaniacs needs to be passed around. To make sure that the jokes are funny, so the episodes will probably be scripted first before actually turned into comic form. Me and my sister ([link]) were already throwing comic ideas around last night like, plots, jokes, and how the Warners will react to the new character. Me and my sister are having a hard time choosing villains though, so if you have any ideas or would like to help with story-boarding don't hesitate to say something and I'll list you as one of the writers :)

Independence Day

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 5, 2008, 2:58 PM
It was interesting that I hit 2,000 page-views on the 4th of July. And I know 2,000 doesn't seem like that much compared to the people that I usually watch, like this amount fails in comparison to Bri-chan. But I can still hope right and I'm really more interested in improving my art. And maybe in the process I'll stumble on something that really catches the attention of the deviant community.

Anyway, I had a pretty simple 4th. My family decided to do the barbecue and watch the movie Independence Day. I'm always in the mood to watch that movie for some reason, I think it's cause it has something for everyone. For instance, not only is the 4th of July a national holiday but it's also my parents wedding anniversary. And in the movie Will Smith gets married to Vivica Fox(sp.?), I use there real names cause I can never remember character names. Except Jeff Goldblum's character because his computer goes "Good morning Dave". It just works so well with the movie. And after the movie we watched the Boston Fireworks with Creg Ferguson, I was so excited to watch him host that. I haven't been staying up that late so I don't usually get to watch him anymore but the fireworks gave me a chance.

Overall it was an awesome 4th, Hope everyone else had a good one :)

P.S. Like everyone else my mood setting is stuck but I am always apprehensive so it works :D

Mickey Mouse

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 3, 2008, 2:19 AM
I was watching Fantasia earlier today and I had so much rapture from watching Mickey's sneaky expressions. Mickey has a completely new meaning to me now that I watched this show about Ub Iwerks, I like how they said that Ub created the character but Disney gave him his soul. A voice gives half of the expression to a character, the rest is personality, eyes, etc. and what not. I make tons of characters but it is very hard to develop a soul for that character. Mickey has always been real to me, an old friend who is happy go lucky, optimistic, really curious and a courageous mouse. Even though I love Warner Brothers cartoons I can't help but notice the resemblance to Mickey. I don't really know why they are so closely designed but I do know one thing. Mickey is an old pal, so when I watched the old "Sorcerers Apprentice" cartoon from Fantasia it made me feel like a child again. And I grinned in delight as I watched his "Gosh and golly" expressions. You don't meet much people like him anymore. [link]

I get annoyed when I have a lot of my art onto these sites and they never get feedback. At school the kids can't wait to tell me what they think but on the internet I've noticed that they are very silent, maybe it's because my style is too different? When I ask people to critiqe it they say, "there is nothing wrong with it" well that obviously can't be right if no one is commenting?

I'm New ^^

Yes, I hate those words because then it shows that I am indeed a noob *sighs* Well I'm hoping to become great at this place . . . though first I have to figure out a few things . . . like how to make a profile picture . . . it's just sad when you don't know how to resize anything! Any help would be nice, I have a new Mac OS X and I have practically no idea how to use it! Some of you will probably say, just read the manual but what if I don't know where the fricken manual is *growls* how could I have lost it!! . . . *smiles* . . . i'm actually really sweet . . . honest . . .
